Infants

12 weeks to 18 months:

Program features: Indoor and outdoor exploration, songs and stories, discovering creative and sensory materials and imitation play.  Our licensed infant program at Glenashton offers small group ratios of 1:3 (with a maximum group size of 10) to ensure that children receive the continuous, focused support while at the centre. 

Toddlers

18 months to 31 months:

Program features: Exploring the indoors and outdoors, self-help skills, garden, music and movement, discovering creative and sensory material, puzzles, stories, blocks, dramatic play and learning to play with others!

Our licensed toddler program offers small group ratios of 1:5.  During the day, toddlers will follow a flexible group schedule where each toddler’s sleep times, eating, and diapering times are documented.

Jr. and Sr. Preschool

31 months to 5 years old:

Program features: Exploring the indoors and outdoors, culinary, gardening, introduction to the arts (visual, dramatic and music), discovering science, engaging in mathematics and literacy activities, developing social skills, gross and fine motor skills and problem-solving

Our licensed preschool program offers small group ratios of 1:8, with a maximum group size of 24. At Glenashton, preschool children follow a flexible group schedule which is catered to the children’s interests.

Before and After-School Care

4 years to 5 years old:

Following the Emergent curriculum, staff plan activities for children between the ages of 4 to 5 years old to facilitate learning through play, and provide a balanced program that supports and facilitates children’s optimum development.

Summer Camp Safari

4 years to 5 years old:

Glenashton daycare camp themes and activities are specifically designed for children ages 4-5 years old. Your child/children will have barrels of fun (and learn a bunch) as they explore the world through an friendly and team-based environment.

Our Qualification

All child care staff at Glenashton Daycare Centre are professional teachers and child care providers with academic training in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and trained in child care safety standards, first-aid, CPR, and meet the company’s professional standards for commitment to superior child care. We complete thorough police reference checks, personal reference checks and collect up-to-date medical histories. We continue to provide professional development to our employees to keep them up to date on early learning innovations.
